MWC 2025: Innovation in Telecommunications
During our participation at MWC Barcelona, we welcomed prominent institutional and industry representatives, such as David de Celis (Boldyn Networks), Eduard Sanz (Mayor of Esplugues), Daniel Crespo (Rector of UPC), and Erzsébet Fitori (6GSNS), among others. We presented key projects such as ELEGANT UPC, 6G-OpenLab, and 6G-EWOC, sharing our vision for the future of sustainable connectivity. We extend our thanks to all visitors, collaborators, and organizations such as CIT UPC, UPC BarcelonaTech, and the Generalitat de Catalunya for their support. We remain committed to innovation in 5G+ networks and advanced wireless technologies.

Interview on Cybersecurity and Innovation on Radio Intereconomía
As part of MWC Barcelona 2025, our project manager from the ELEGANT UPC team, José Antonio Fernández (UPC), took part in the special program #YoNoSoyHacker on Radio Intereconomía, hosted by cybersecurity expert Raúl Guillén. During the interview (minutes 24–29), key topics were discussed, including innovation, cybersecurity, and the role of the university in technological development.

Start of Deployment Led by Boldyn Networks
ELEGANT Project Begins Network Deployment Led by Boldyn Networks on November 12, 2024. The deployment includes the installation of advanced 5G infrastructure, featuring two FR2 antennas and three FR1 antennas per campus, a 5G core network, and cutting-edge optical equipment.

ELEGANT Team Presence at SCWC at UPC Stand
On November 6, the ELEGANT team attended the Smart City World Congress (SCWC) as part of the UPC stand, where flyers for various projects were distributed, including the ELEGANT project. Additionally, we had the opportunity to appear on Catalan television (TV3), featuring the project's Principal Investigator (PI), José Antonio Lázaro.

ELEGANT Team Presence at the UPC Innovation Infrastructure Visibility Day
On November 7 and 8, the ELEGANT team participated in the UPC Innovation Infrastructure Visibility Day. José Antonio Fernández was present at the Vilanova i la Geltrú campus, where the SARTI research group and the OBSEA marine observatory were visited. Meanwhile, José Antonio Lázaro took part in activities at the Castelldefels campus.
