Optical Network Deployment
The transport layer will implement a highly agile and reconfigurable network with ultra-low latency, based on Flex-CDC-ROADM nodes with tunable coherent transceivers and access via OTN grooming, typically using Ethernet frames (10, 40, 100 GEth).
Network Topology: Optical ring in CN connected via fiber to a node in CBL.
- Campus Nord: Bidirectional optical ring with a Flex-CDC-ROADM node.
- Bidirectional optical ring (2 optical fibers) consisting of 4 nodes with access (add-drop) through ROADM+OTN
- Nodes: LAB CN-1, LAB CN-2, LAB CN-3, DC C.NORD.
- Campus de Castelldefels: Bidirectional node with a Flex-CDC-ROADM node. ·
- Bidirectional node (2 optical fibers) with access (add-drop) through ROADM+OTN.
- Node: DC CASTELL.
The interconnection between the Campus Nord ring and the Campus Baix Llobregat node will be carried out through protected redundant fiber optic links, connecting the Campus Nord PoP and the CBL PoP. The Wavelength Cross Connect (WCC) module ensures that any node in the ring can communicate with the CBL node.
